Trying out a new lens tonight - the Canon RF 800mm with the RF 2x Extender on the Canon Ra Camera. I was quite pleased with the results. They seemed to have come in better than the combo of Tamron 150-600mm with 4x of teleconverters, which makes sense as we lose 4 stops of light and there’s more softness when introducing additional teleconverters.
The weight difference is nice, only 2.77 pounds for the Canon RF 800mm vs 4.42 pounds with the Tamron 150-600mm lens, then add in all the teleconverters. I’m stoked about this. :)
