A lot of players think planning before a dungeon is the boring part. In classic D&D and OSR play, that planning stage is part of the game.
This one breaks down why dangerous adventures reward preparation, how a quick party brief changes the way a dungeon feels, and a simple checklist you can use before entering any dangerous area. The goal is not to slow the game down. The goal is to make player choices matter before room one.
This works especially well for B/X, OSE, and other old-school games, but it also helps 5e groups that want tighter dungeon play and smarter decision-making.
