Went to Thamasa, got gaia gear first try on the way which was cool. Stocked up on armor, didn't bother with weapons or stocking up on rods for cheap fast kills. Flame Eater took longer than I expected. I got flame sabre first try and then got beat up for a bit. Wouldn't expect to lose this though since I could've just espered/ice 2. Grabbed the memento ring and put it on Shadow for no reason, headed to the Mountain's and saved. The next few days I'll use all the misc. optional sidequest stuff to fill in for them, I'm pretty far for day 9.
