Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Godehard Brüntrup SJ, born on March 19, 1957, is Professor of Metaphysics, Philosophy of Mind, and Philosophy of Language at the Munich School of Philosophy (HFPH).
After studying philosophy and theology in Munich, Frankfurt, and Innsbruck, and conducting research in the USA, he received his doctorate in philosophy in 1993 and his habilitation in Munich in 2003. Prof. Brüntrup SJ held various positions at the Munich School of Philosophy, including lecturer, assistant professor, and full professor. He was appointed to the Erich J. Lejeune Foundation Chair of Philosophy and served as Vice President for Research from 2014 to 2020. His work is characterized by numerous publications and the management of externally funded projects.
