In this Video we will be looking at Textures / formally known as CG textures. I have used this website for many years and it recently went through what they call "The Great Overhaul", in which they have spent a lot of time in scanning objects, creating materials for us to use.
I will quickly show you how Textures.com Works and I will also use them in a scene.
Here is a quick and free way to help build your asset library. If you have any suggestions be sure to post them in the comments below.
[note - @3:37 I use a Bump node for the Normal (this is not "correct"). You should use a Normal Map Node Instead. You connect the Col of your Normal Image to the Col input and Select the UV]
I hope this video helps and as always, Thanks for watching!..

![Blender Python Tutorial : How to make a Random Word Generator [learn python for beginners]
In this Blender Python Tutorial, we will be taking a look at how I created a fairly simple Random Word Generator.
Looking to learn Python for beginners? You are in the right place. Be sure to check out the Scripting Playlist!.
In the last video I created some Digital Graffiti and some of you have asked how I came up with the Name and Concept. As you guys may already know, I am terrible when it comes to naming things so using Python and Blender I created WordGen 1.0.. Obviously this is not a serious Add-on but if you guys want to use it there will be a link in the blog be sure to check that out.
You can take this further and add more functions and other things to generate such as Places, Names and more.
I hope you find this video helpful and as always thanks for watching!..

![Blender Python Tutorial : Finishing the Object Adder Add-on [learn python for beginners]
In this Blender Python Tutorial, we will be continuing with our Object Adder (add mesh) Add-on that we created in the last video.
Looking to learn Python for beginners? You are in the right place. Be sure to check out the Scripting Playlist!.
If you want to download this Script, be sure to check the link in our blog!.
First we will add the bl_info, so we can install our add-on (instead of needing to press Runs Script all the time).
Then we look at adding two new panels and then adding the Panels inside of our Main Panel (which is super simple).
We then add some Functions to our Newly added Panels. We can add pretty much anything we want and I suggest adding the most common functions that you use all the time.
You can take certain functions and operations from various different Sections of Blender, and then add them to your Add-on (You can then work in bigger workspace without the need to jump from one window to the next).
Of course this Add-on is super simple and we can always add, change and improve this add-on but I wanted to create something easy to follow and I hope I have managed to inspire you to take this further and start to make awesome add-ons!..
In the Next Tutorial, we will be creating an Add-on thats a little more advanced but with the knowledge we have learned over the last two videos, it should be easier to pick up.
Again, I hope you found this Blender Python Tutorial helpful! be sure to let us know what you think of this series or if you want more videos like this?

![Blender Python Tutorial : Class Naming Convention [learn python for beginners]
Blender 2.90 Tutorial, learn python scripting (for beginners)
In this video we will take a quick look at how to properly name our classes.
Looking to learn Python for beginners? You are in the right place. Be sure to check out the Scripting Playlist!.
In past videos I may have (incorrectly) told you to name your classes in a way that may kick up an error message. We should follow the Correct Naming Convention in order to keep our scripts tidy and separate.. If we have Classes that share the same name we could cause unexpected results.
So that being said, I wanted to quickly show you how to better name your Classes. If you want more information you can check out our blog post here: https://darkfallblender.blogspot.com/2020/07/blender-python-tutorial-class-naming.html

![Blender Tutorial: Quick Smoke Tool - Smokey (Wispy) Text Effect [Smoke Simulation]
In this Video we will be looking at the Quick Smoke Tool in Blender to achieve a Wispy smoke effect.
There are so many different settings to play around with, you can create many different results. If you make something cool with the smoke sim be sure to post a video or link in our facebook group.
I rendered this out with a small amount of samples and I use denoise (which did an okay job) but if this was for your own project, I would increase the samples to get a better result.
If you want to check out the settings I used for this Final shot I will post the Info in the FB group.
I hope you found this video helpful and as always, thanks for watching!.
