*Fat Man, Tiny Bike - the challenge of taking a 125cc to The Alps in sweltering heat and then something nasty happens!*
I think 370 miles was a bit ambitious in a day....starting at 4:15am from my home in the Cotswold town of Tetbury to the town of Sedan in the Ardennes via the channel tunnel in oppressive heat and a bike causing me major stress.
Coupled with the fact that my determination NOT to use the Autoroute (Motorway/Highway) repaid me by 20,000 roundabouts where I had to "Take the Second Exit" ie go straight on encountering sets of aggressively angled "speed humps" before, during and after each effing town or village you pass through, completely buggering my back 🤬.
Anyway.....suffice to say it was a difficult day, arriving at the Kyriad Hotel in Sedan at about 7pm some 14 hours after starting in Tetbury that morning and then they only put me on the first floor with no lift so I had to drag my bags up in the searing heat while my jeans kept falling down because I have "no arse" - funny? NO !!
