Fourth time seeing the Tesla Model Y L, and it still lost to every EV in my driveway.
I went to Riverside Tesla to see what changed on the US version of the Model Y L. I've owned three Model Ys, and there's a Cybertruck and a Rivian R1S in the driveway now, so this is a comparison against cars I actually pay for, not a spec sheet. We get into the wide-opening rear doors and why I still defend falcon wing and sliding doors, the lumbar support that came back to the passenger seat, the thigh extender on the Launch Series, and the staggered wheels that mean you can't rotate your tires front to back.
Then I rank it head to head against my Model Y Juniper, the Model X, the Cybertruck, and the R1S. I was surprised where it landed. The one thing left is a test drive, and that could change all of this.
Ruben and Adrian give their answers too, and we get into why Tesla still won't put a real outlet in these cars.
