On 29-30 October 2025 in New Delhi, India, Technical Assistance Facility on Financing for Care was jointly organized by UN Women India, the UN Women Knowledge and Partnerships Centre in the Republic of Korea, and the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific — with support from the Government of the Republic of Korea and the European Union.
Co-convened under UN Women’s TransformCare Investment Initiative for Asia and the Pacific (TCII-AP), the workshop brought together government officials, economists, and development partners from India and other countries in the region — Bhutan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Viet Nam — to strengthen capacities on financing for care.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on how to mobilize public, private, and blended investments that recognize care as a public good, and co-designed financing models tailored to their national contexts, and exchanged practical experiences from across countries.

![EmPower National Gathering: Local Action, National Impact | Indonesia
From Aceh, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), women are driving climate action to strengthen food security and build more resilient communities.
At EmPower National Forum: Local Action, National Impact, women leaders and community representatives shared how local initiatives are making a difference by:
💧 Protecting water springs
🌱 Turning waste into organic fertilizer and renewable energy
🌾 Strengthening community seed banks and local food systems
Their stories show that women are not only affected by climate change, but they are also leading the solutions.
EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies II is implemented by UN Women and UNEP, with support from the Governments of Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland. In Indonesia, EmPower supports the WRI consortium comprising the Aceh Climate Change Initiative, Gema Alam, and YAKINES.
