Just like the redstone block and the same circuitry. Not much different except the blue LEDs and blue plastic. This one isn't as bright as the redstone ore but that's due to blue LEDs needing 3.6 volts instead of 2.3 volts. Suppose they could have redesigned the battery compartment to take AAAs instead.
