What if your students actually wanted to do a close reading?
In this project, my class took scenes from The Odyssey and turned them into Instagram posts using Canva. They learned tone, perspective, and theme — all while thinking like creators.

This activity bridges classic literature and modern creativity. Students became “influencers” from ancient Greece and had a blast writing captions as if they were there.

Teachers, try this and thank me later.
