Buckeye Elementary School District and the Buckeye Police Department investigated an inappropriate social media post involving a threat directed toward WestPark Elementary School on Sept. 1, 2026. A 21-year-old paraprofessional employed at the school, Sharde Booker, was identified as the individual behind the post.
According to police documents, information was received regarding an Instagram post that contained a photo with the statement, "I GOT SPIT ON BY THE LIL *expletive* WHO SAYS *expletive*. SHOOTING UP THE SCHOOL." Meta provided location data showing the account was located at WestPark Elementary School, 2700 S. 257th Dr., Buckeye, Arizona, while Booker was at the school.
Booker was arrested on charges of interfering with an educational institution and threats after admitting to making the post during an interview. Law enforcement determined there is no ongoing threat to the campus, and district officials confirmed their continued partnership with law enforcement to maintain safety.
