The Tampa Police Department is currently working to identify and apprehend the suspect who committed an armed robbery at a local motel.
Just after 10:00 pm on July 2, 2024, Tampa Police officers responded to the 4000 block of N Dale Mabry Hwy. for the report of an armed robbery at the Econolodge motel.
The suspect threatened the clerk with a firearm while demanding money from the cash register. The suspect quickly left the motel in an unknown direction after taking the money. Thankfully, no one was harmed in the process.
The suspect, as seen in the video, appears to be a white male, wearing a maroon and white baseball hat, red shirt, and multi-colored shorts.
