(July 30, 2024) — Detectives are asking the community to look closely at this video and provide information if they can help identify the armed suspect who committed a robbery at the Barrymore Hotel (111 W Fortune St.) on July 30th, 2024.
At around 4:27 a.m., the suspect was seen rummaging through the cash register after climbing over the front reception counter. He then removed cash from the register and was confronted by employees.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect throwing cash at the employees before pulling a knife on them outside the hotel.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The suspect was dressed in dark clothing, carrying a backpack, and left on a bicycle in an unknown direction.
Tampa Police detectives are working diligently to identify the suspect and make an arrest in this case. Your tip could be crucial to the investigation.
