Kits World | Talking About... Mary Poppins | Film Review @kitsworld | Uploaded May 2020 | Updated October 2024, 14 minutes ago.
Mary Poppins is one of the best loved and most iconic Disney films, featuring a talented cast including Julie Andrews in her movie debut, Dick Van Dyke doing a famously atrocious Cockney accent, and two of Disney's most cherised child stars, Matthew Garber and Karen Dotrice. Filled with a dazzling array of pioneering visual effects, animation, songs and music by the legendary Sherman brothers, spectacular dance routines, and magical adventures, Mary Poppins is a practically perfect family film.
I grew up with this film, as it was on TV every Christmas, and it has always had a special place in my heart. It remains one of the few childhood favourites that I still choose to watch whenever I'm feeling down, and it always picks me right back up.

As always, this video is not scripted or planned, and is a pure stream of consciousness. Therefore, not everything I say can be relied upon to be factually accurate, although I do attempt to correct factual errors in the edit. However, some may slip through. Please be forgiving.
