Happy holidays, everyone! With Dixie Kongs Double Trouble recently being released on the Switchs SNES Online app, it seems like a great time to chill out in the Northern Kremisphere.
This song was actually much simpler than I thought it would be going into it; its fairly short and tends to repeat a lot of phrases. That said, these are very atmospheric tracks, so I think the instrumentation is what really makes it come alive. To that end, Ive added some percussion to give it a little more of that classic Donkey Kong Country flavor.

Hey can you believe its been nearly a year to the day since the last time I posted an original on YouTube? Wild!
So this song was my attempt to utilize a groove beat in an original since I hadnt actually done that in quite some time. I originally wanted to create something with a much more sad, almost droning tone, but it kind of naturally evolved into something more lively (though still pretty somber). Kinda gave me the vibe of a rainy city at night, lit up by neon signs with almost no one on the streets. Very noir-ish.
