It's been longer than I'd like since the last video I made, but I've got a new cover from Donkey Kong Land. It's the boss theme, but you may also recognize it from Blast Corps, as DKL's composer Graeme Norgate used a modified arrangement of this song in that game.
I tried to do my own thing with the percussion, keeping it in the spirit of the original but adding more variety for different sections of the song.
Shoutout to the Project+ devs for putting this song in the 2.0 build, it's been stuck in my head ever since!

Hey, I was thinking the other day, you know what? Ive always wanted to write an original Mega Man X-styled song, but never have.
So I did!
I think it went OK for a first time. It sounds a little more like Mega Man Classic in composition, and I struggled a lot with the melody (theyre pretty hard to write imo), but overall Im proud.
And as always, these songs are free to use for non-profit purposes, so long as proper credit is given.

Truly absurd to think a dog could swap two horizonally adjacent panels in order to match three or more panels of the same color. I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.

Beautiful funny monkey music...
This was a fun one to cover, though more difficult than I was expecting. I tried to arrange it in a similar manner to my 8-bit Stickerbush Symphony cover, though I ended up diverging from that style somewhat, as this song has a greater emphasis on melodic percussion and deep bass tones.

This is a fairly simple composition but it took a long time to get everything mixed the way I wanted. It might be more pitch bends than your average X3 track has, but oh well.

Dixie Kongs Double Trouble, in this instance, refers to the 2A03 and VRC6!
I know the SNES soundtrack to this game isnt everyones favorite but I love the kind of calm, spooky tone that Eveline Novakovics soundtrack gives to the game, and Water World is one of the best in that regard.
Ive been wanting to cover a DKC3 song for a long time, as its an underutilized soundtrack and I thought it would convert well to Famitracker. Ive had this module started and sitting on my computer for a couple months before actually completing it last night.
