=========
-Entrails was the same as my original run; beat to 50%, then use Magnetic Gate + her spell trifecta(FS/IP/M) to EB and MA to finish.
-Dispater was nicely improved from my original run. It took some time to get accustomed to the timings of their attacks but once I did, the flow of the fight went so much smoother, though still had trouble with their random Nova activations. Star Scatter is very effective here.
-Bladehorn Boar is simple enough. Starts with a thrust attack and a horizontal one. The horizontal one moves from (Pascal's) left to right, so stepping right when in its range lets you dodge both. Its charging attack can be dodged in any direction(got a lucky weapon clash here), so thats easy to deal with. Its digging move is also easy, just dodge sideways 1sec after its in the ground; just gotta keep your eye on him.
-Veres's only difficult attack is its footsies attack. Very fast and a bit of a deceptive range. It uses its left foot, then its right, so dodge to Pascal's right(dodging to Pascal's left gets you hit by its right foot as you end your sidestep).... is what i'd like to say, but generally I have to move to the whims of the camera =01...
-Kurt is Kurt. Mooks made it harder to showcase what he can do. His Dragon starts up at a farther distance than his Tiger attack. Both are very unique in that it can follow you indiscriminately which makes it very hard to dodge with a simple quick-step. If he comes within range of Dragon, but doesn't attack, then he will go for Tiger. He can walk into Infernal Prison, guard instantly, then attack as soon as its finished which was SUPER annoying =01.
-Richard 2 is same as Richard 1. His dark sword attacks are easily telegraphed, so it shows I didn't practice it much, sidestepping his dark sword horizontal attack(he missed, but still).

A revisit to my Pascal run. With Arise on the horizon, I felt the need to re-run the game. The old run has low-quality resolution, so I wanted to improve that as well.
While the bosses at this stage can be beaten in 1 good combo, if you know what you're doing(see Just_Samu's Pascal run for examples), I plan on playing in a way that showcases learning the enemy's patterns and avoiding attacks either through normal dodging, or perfect dodging. I will also do my best to not take any damage(discounting perfect dodge 1HP dmg, EVA-procs, Accel-activation invincibility etc), though that might not be possible with the attack variations of some bosses. Battles will also be fast... for my sanity =0b.
No cheats were used to give me an unfair advantage; the ones I'm using are:
1) a code that lets me turn on/off the Grade shop options, specifically 2x and/or 5x Damage for damage control in later fights
2) a code that alters the camera angle to have that Zesty/Bersy/Arise-grounded look
3) a code that lets me use Pascal instead of Asbel-as-Pascal in certain fights.
4) a code that lets me retry a fight. Some optional fights and Zhonecage doesn't give you that option. Allows me to save time from traversing to the boss multiple times.
Many later files were carried over from my ps3 run, which were already set up optimally. Any questions or concerns, feel free to drop a comment =03.

![Tales of Arise - Mantis [Hard] - Shionne solo
You thought I was gonna leave the mantis be? Nah, its gonna catch these boolits.
Thisll be the last video for the demo. Too much trouble to fight the special boss solo, since its only a one-time deal and building the levels takes time. Gonna remain a mystery until the full game for me =0v.
After getting used to its patterns, the mantis isnt too hard. Because of how the mantiss slash attacks can whiff, I try to evade in the same direction it attacks to get a perfect evasion. When it does its charging attack, perfect countering stops it in its tracks. It has quicker recovery time than the boar when this occurs, so I only have time for 1 arte before it attacks. Using Aqua Impact usually puts me in just the right position to aim for a perfect evasion on its next claw swipe.
At 50%, it goes into overlimit(OVL) and gets 3 bee mobs to assist in the fight. They can cause paralysis, so I opted to defeat them instead of leaving them be. As long as I keep an eye on the mantis, and perfect evade its charge attack, I will teleport towards my target, sometimes leaving me airborne to use Aqua Impact. This, coupled with Burnstrike, and Luke Divisios homing ability, I can dispatch them quickly.
Kinda hated I got hit 4 times by the mantis, 2 due to miscalculation on distance when evading, and 1 on missed forward input(backstepped instead of stepping forward). That first OVL caught me cold though; keep forgetting about that in the heat of the moment. Not the best of takes, but I can live with this, given the resetting nature of the demo. So after watching TheTalesFans and then miraclechaos amazing skill to utilize Xillias backstep, I felt compelled to give it a try myself, so I redid these two battles, since I was practicing against Gaius and eventually got motivated to beat him again(did the 3 Chim for kicks). I used the exact same files for these as the originals(i.e. no 2x dmg/3x crit), except I did not increase any stats other than PSY to avoid status effects, and in return, I de-equipped the Water Guard skill. Not planning to do any others though.
The backstep isnt as bad as I thought, though it requires a rather precise timing to it. Im actually spoiled by Gracess quick-step, since any attack that occurs during that step(if its the correct direction of course) will be perfect dodged, with invincibility frames to go with it.
Arguably, you could say I would have lost the Gaius battle, but I continued to play even though I got healed(would have quit if I absorbed his MA). I didnt have Life Reversal(recover 50% dmg taken) or P.Def/M.Def + 40% foods either(forgot to buy it), so a fair trade I think. Obviously all types of hacked mechanics and stuff.... Hey, dont judge me! Its the only way I know how to have fun with this game =0[....
This isnt a thing though; just out of boredom...
list of hacked things for Marta:
-All artes can link to normals; as such, # of attacks in a row = # of normal combo hits; still must follow arte rules
-slight increase in recovery time after all artes(prevents infinite spam)
-UP-normal has additional follow-up attack while in the air(not perfected)
-Swallow Waltzs backflip at start of the arte has been removed
-can follow normals after EX Attacks and artes
-aerial version of Swallow Waltz
-casting speed for spells reduced so the magic is cast right after incantation
-upgraded Tmpst Sw, R. Gale, Rem Strike to arcane artes
-has all magic in which she has an incantation for(Stone Blast, Ice Needle, Stalag, Iciclc R, Neg Gate, Bld Howling, Grd Dash, Absolute, Scare Shot(not useable) Tales of Symphonia 2 ~ Dawn of the New World : Magnar - Marta solo](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QkRDuL78bvk/mqdefault.jpg)
