The "duels"; my favorite fight set in the game. Since certain abilities that are present on your playable characters can have an effect here, I use these to increase the difficulty of the fights for myself. All characters have Bruserine quality equipment(1-hit Iron Stance) except Asbel(already gets Iron Stance when drawing sword). Hubert and Sophie have Speed shards and added options for their "1 CC arte tier", giving them more variety with their first attack. Hubert, Malik, and Cheria have special cast time reduction codes on them(none on Pascal), since their spell casting behavior is bad; they will run away to an appropriate distance to cast higher-cast time spells. By severely shortening these times, they can cast on the spot, giving them more access to more spells. Cheria and Asbel are not normally fought in-game, but thought it'd be interesting to fight them.
Hubert is not too much trouble. He(and the others) can occasionally insta-break stun(see 0:58) which leads to many a game over, particularly when I reaction spell-cancel-to-1CC-arte(for stun CC).
Sophie is fast and versatile. Sword Assault is the hardest to deal with, since it gives her Iron Stance(on top of the Bruserine IS) and has a lot of horizontal range and forward distance. Admittedly, after some attack exchanges, she can calculate the time it takes to reach me before a shot I fired hits her; e.g. guarding if she can't make it, and charging toward me if she can. I panicked Accel'd and luckily caught her only cause she tried to use Dagger Splash.
Malik is easy too, but I do have to watch out for his spells, since all have similar cast times and can't easily tell what he'll toss out based on that alone. His bladerang can neutralize my shots and occasionally gets toss out even after getting hit(some with hitbox 3:08, some w/o hitbox 2:52)
Cheria is a bit easier as long as I stay out of her range, since her daggers can neutralize and sometimes overprioritize my gun shots. All her magic outside of Ethereal Rift is slow to start up, even if she can cast fast, so its easy to dodge out of the way. Can't use Fever Dream, as she Recovers while in mid-air and can attack immediately on landing while Pascal is still getting up.
Asbel can be rough. Strat here is to get him to draw his sword, so I backstep in tandem to whatever he throws out, since Draw is practically instant. He can use Burial Blade from anywhere, so I always backstep when he gets to the 4CC tier as that is instant game over if I get hit. Once his sword has been drawn, his running speed is cut down and he's actually easier to pin down once you drill through his Iron Stance. This take was successful mostly because of the excessive Demon Fangs he was using here instead of other options he was taking(Gale Maw, Ruinous Bloom) at a distance.
Pascal? A Pascal fight doesn't exist =0v.....
===========
A revisit to my Pascal run. The old run has low-quality resolution, so I wanted to improve that.
While the bosses at this stage can be beaten in 1 good combo, if you know what you're doing(see Just_Samu's Pascal run for examples), I plan on playing in a way that showcases learning the enemy's patterns and avoiding attacks either through normal dodging, or perfect dodging. I will also do my best to not take any damage(discounting perfect dodge 1HP dmg, EVA-procs, Accel-activation invincibility etc), though that might not be possible with the attack variations of some bosses. Battles will also be fast... for my sanity =0b.
No cheats were used to give me an unfair advantage; the ones I'm using are:
1) a code that lets me turn on/off the Grade shop options, specifically 2x and/or 5x Damage for damage control in later fights
2) a code that alters the camera angle to have that Zesty/Bersy/Arise-grounded look
3) a code that lets me use Pascal instead of Asbel-as-Pascal in certain fights.
4) a code that lets me retry a fight. Some optional fights and Zhonecage don't give you that option. Allows me to save time from traversing to the boss multiple times.
Many later files were carried over from my ps3 run, which were already set up optimally. Any questions or concerns, feel free to drop a comment =03.

Annoying as hell boss. His penetrate/Iron Stance is hard enough to deal with, but worse is the fact that Martas artes move her under the Garuda, whiffing most of the hits. A major-minor thing, learned while watching clips Richter run, was that the elemental grid allowed the boss to heal. It appears not to heal all that much, but keeping the grid under control is a high priority right now. A few heals can turn the tide in the bosss favor. Add this to his excellent maneuverability, and you have a difficult boss to tackle =01. It leaves me with little choice outside of hit-and-run tactics coupled with Ice Needles to keep the E.Grid under control.
list of hacked things for Marta:
-All artes can link to normals; as such, # of attacks in a row = # of normal combo hits; still must follow arte rules
-slight increase in recovery time after all artes(prevents infinite spam)
-UP-normal has additional follow-up attack while in the air(not perfected)
-Swallow Waltzs backflip at start of the arte has been removed
-can follow normals after EX Attacks and artes
-aerial version of Swallow Waltz
-casting speed for spells reduced so the magic is cast right after incantation
-upgraded Tmpst Sw, R. Gale, Rem Strike to arcane artes
-has all magic in which she has an incantation for(Stone Blast, Ice Needle, Stalag, Iciclc R, Neg Gate, Bld Howling, Grd Dash, Absolute, Scare Shot(not useable) Tales of Symphonia 2 ~ Dawn of the New World : Garuda - Marta solo](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/tZe5Y3iVuRE/mqdefault.jpg)

Thisll probably be my last Zestiria upload for a while. Im sure people are tired of this game =01. Berserias demo is around the corner too. Making a balanced arena while considering both normal and armatization modes was simply too difficult for me to accomplish =01.
Since I didnt want the fight to be MA-spammable, I dont use Axcell, the +stagger skills or code, and only use 1x Mistiq. This gives some weight to the use of MAs where some discretion is needed if I want to get to the end of the fight.
You can TRY try this yourself if you have CE and the God Eater DLC(thats free, but needs to be installed), BUT the technique I used may prevent the Master Arena auto-Config code from working for you. Let me know if it doesnt. It might be TOO easy for some(if it even works) but its not made with max stats in mind.

Original cast levels like normal(except Regal)
Boss was a pain in the arse )=01. Not only is its mobility high, but its in the air, making Preseas attacks whiff or hard to hit it with. His Dread Storm arte, if he does it at close range, is a guaranteed guard break(hits = number of smoke-thingys you get hit by) and drain a huge amount of HP. Lots of losses occurred simply due to losing the battle of attrition in either HP or TP, and/or getting hit with Dread Storm point blank. Fortunately, she comes with Critical 1+2, and since criticals instantly break iron stance, this made it a much more capable fight. Destruction is the safest arte to use because of its both vert and hort range, but I take unsafe measures like aerial normals to speed up the fight.

![Tales of Xillia 2 : Natchigal (Fractured) - Leia 2024 solo
This is the first boss where Eagles Rage by itself is insufficient to break a bosss Iron Stance. Fortunately, after talking to Horangi after his Chronos 1 video, he taught me that the last hit of Soulstoke Spin will always break Iron Stance. This makes it easy to open him up at the start, since it takes him an extra second to start attacking for some reason.
He still has high Iron Stance though, so even if his IS is weakened, it can still take a bit to break it. Thats probably the toughest thing about him IMO. This could be easily mitigated by using herbs at endgame(ofc all side chapters except Milla ch 1+2 can be done at endgame, iirc).
He is pretty much exactly the same as in X1. Destruction is his usual counter of choice, and can be used to counter in the air. It still has a large range, and you can get hit with the sword swing too. However, with the sidestep, in addition to Leias other mobility options, it is no longer the threat it once was. I was watching @Hepkin use Milla in X1 against Natchigal a few days ago[from whatever date I uploaded this] and just he ran circles around him X0D. And that was X1; I imagine other characters would do the same here in X2, no weakness needed.
He can be guard manipulated into doing Massacre Arc, which is a throwing move that ignores guard. It can be easily sidestepped. I dont know why Searing Arcs range is smaller than its effect; else, Id have died when he used it(twice =0x).
