In this video, I collect the Moon "Taking Notes: Jump on the Palm" without pressing A and throwing Cappy. To do this I first grab a seed from the town, then I run to the palm trees and get onto them with the seed. Then I throw the seed onto the other Palm and roll onto it myself. From there I throw the Seed to activate the Note and collect a smaller Note. I simply collect the other Notes with Mario. Then I need to get onto the other Palm by doing a hard roll hop. After getting onto the other Palm i just collect all the other Notes by running on the Palms. The Moon can be collected by roll hopping as well. UPDATE: Its been a while since this video has been uploaded, and after a lot of discoveries the limit has been brought down to just 3 captures (The first Cap Kingdom Pylon, the Ruined Pylon and the Bowser capture).
This video shows all the Remaining Captures that are required to beat the game (any%) There is a small difference in the amount of the captures depending on the Version you are playing on. In 1.0 and 1.1 you can beat the game in just 13 Captures, but in 1.2 it takes 14 Captures because there was a trick that was used to get infinite height in earlier Versions, which was patched out in 1.2.

This isnt considered a Capture by the Game. Hacks were used to test if it would add the Spark Pylon to the Capture list, and it didnt.
