Icay | Chomp Through the Rocks - 0x Captures | Super Mario Odyssey @Icayy | Uploaded October 2018 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
In this video, I collect the Moon "Chomp Through the Rocks" with 0x Captures. To do this I first do First Moon Skip (FMS) so I can do the following Ground Pound Clip. When Out of Bounds (OoB) I swim to a Invisible Platform and jump onto it. From the Invisible Platform I jump to a Spot that is still OoB, then do another jump from there so I'm under the Rocks. When I grab one of the Rocks, I start sliding on the Ground while still being OoB. I'm sliding towards the Chomp Through the Rocks Moon, and when I hit the Wall at the Chomp Through the Rocks Moon, the Rock you're holding just breaks. And when it breaks, I want to quickly throw Cappy and dive onto him to land behind the Rock. Now that I'm behind the Rock I just dive into the Moon and collect it.

This was done on the 1.2.0 Version of Super Mario Odyssey. Not everything done in this Video is possible in 1.0.0/1.1.0 tho. In 1.0.0/1.1.0 FMS works different in the Older Versions because the Invisible Wall is different. And because the Invisible Wall is different, the Ground Pound Clip also doesn't work in those Versions. UPDATE: Its been a while since this video has been uploaded, and after a lot of discoveries the limit has been brought down to just 3 captures (The first Cap Kingdom Pylon, the Ruined Pylon and the Bowser capture).
This video shows all the Remaining Captures that are required to beat the game (any%) There is a small difference in the amount of the captures depending on the Version you are playing on. In 1.0 and 1.1 you can beat the game in just 13 Captures, but in 1.2 it takes 14 Captures because there was a trick that was used to get infinite height in earlier Versions, which was patched out in 1.2.

This isnt considered a Capture by the Game. Hacks were used to test if it would add the Spark Pylon to the Capture list, and it didnt.
