An exclusive remaster of “Bang a Gong (Get It On)” by T. REX to play in full-dynamic audio range. After having a No. 1 hit single in the U.K. with “Hot Love,” T. REX’s founder, Marc Bolan, desired to write another song that would better appeal to the American audience. That song was released in July 1971 under the title of “Get It On” in the U.K. but changed to “Bang a Gong (Get It On)” in the U.S., so not to be confused with another artist’s same titled song at that time. The single became a smash hit in both nations. The recording included contributions from Ian McDonald of King Crimson on sax, Rick Wakeman of YES and “The Turtles” founders, Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan (A.K.A.
