Guitars by Leslie West, drums by Corky Laing, bass and keyboard by Felix Pappalardi, who also produced Cream’s “Disraeli Gears” album. I did see Mountain perform live in the summer of 1970, and while Lesley West’s “talkin’ guitar” was excellent, it was Pappalardi’s bass that left a greater impression with its awesome power of volume that rattled the concert hall.
