Synology C2 is designed to offer the most integrated and cost-effective cloud backup solution for Synology NAS users. All data in transit and at rest are secured using rigorous encryption technologies.
Synology C2 is not a "separate" product. it integrates seamlessly with your Synology NAS to create an almost natural transition of data from your on prem Synology box to the cloud.
Synology C2 is a life saver! The 3-2-1 Backup strategy tells us to have at least 3 copies of our data, on 2 different media types and at least 1 copy of the data should be located offsite.
Synology C2 helps comply to the 3-2-1 backup strategy at least partially by having a reliable cloud based location to send our backups to. by that, at we are guaranteed to have at least 2 copies of our data and indeed - one of the copies is offsite.
