No traffic. No trees. And literally no shoes allowed inside — anywhere. 👟🚫

I spent 2 weeks living like a local in Longyearbyen — the world's northernmost town — and it was nothing like I expected.

My hostel was 3km from the town centre. A walk that should've taken 20 minutes took 45… because Svalbard has a way of stopping you in your tracks.

Lunch at Kroa ☕, coffee with actual huskies at Huskies Café 🐾, and a tiny museum that somehow held the entire Arctic soul of this place.

Oh, and the supermarket? Everything's available. Just don't look at the prices. 😅
Streets don't have names here. Just numbers. And somehow, that felt perfectly right for a place that plays by its own rules.
