POV: You’re a 45-year-old non-swimmer taking a PADI Open Water Course in Koh Tao, Thailand. 😳👇
If you already swim like a fish or you’re a natural adrenaline junkie—honestly, keep scrolling. This beginner scuba diving video isn’t for you.
This is for anyone dealing with a fear of open water, adult beginner swimming anxiety, or feeling stuck in the "iffy zone".
I’m 45. Until about a month ago, I couldn’t swim confidently. But I was tired of letting fear choose my boundaries. I didn’t want a tourist “fun dive” where someone just holds my hand. I wanted the real deal: a full PADI Certification course with 3 days of real training and real exams.
Was I terrified of scuba diving? Yes.
Did I show up anyway?
Hit follow to see exactly how day one of my scuba diving training went, because if I can step off that boat, trust me... so can you.
Training with the team at Assava Diving Resort took me from the classroom to the ocean floor with total confidence. Koh Tao really is the ultimate place to learn—the marine life here is absolutely unmatched. 🌊
