So, your planning a Family vacation, all inclusive to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Help!
With so many hotels, resorts, how to you pick the right one?
First, let's start with the term "all inclusive vacation". Is it really what it sounds like? Yes! You pay one upfront cost for your room, food and drinks, and of course the flights to get there. This option may include the bus transfer from the airport to the resort as well. Plus entertainment, watersports, kids clubs and more are included as well.
Almost all kids love the beach and pools but these resorts have a little bit extra. So consider your kids age, what activities they love and book that memorable vacation.
The resorts I profile are ones I have stayed at, and I see the kids and mom and dad having fun.

#1 Barcelo Puerto Vallarta - about a 40 minute drive from downtown Puerto Vallarta. Good beach for snorkelling.
#2 Marival Emotions: super popular with families, but a 4 star at best. Good beach for swimming
#3 Grand Palladium Vallarta - this offers great value as there are lots of activities, you can surf here
#4 Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: centrally located in downtown PV, and a 4 star at best. But good rooms for families
#5 Dreams Bahia Mita: a true 5 star, and since this video, they have renovated and moved the pirate ship and kids park to the back of the resort. Bring water shoes for the beach
#6 Melia Puerto Vallarta: a fun resort but is sadly closing in 2025
