3 hours, 50+ pace attempts, a WLW circumstance. Nearly 3x, a 2.7.
This wasn’t a great grind, compared to the Golden Spiral counterpart. I struggled a decent bit, and overall I wasn’t really lucky nor unlucky. I’d estimate this was an average grind time, one that I will accept.
This further proves to me that this one is overall harder. On a pure skill by skill basis, sure, Golden Spiral may have a denser average difficulty, but the ultimate challenge is much longer and jankier than Golden Spiral is, so you have to focus for longer, and random deaths are common. It’s not necessarily hard to put up with that when going for it once and tanking the weird attempts (In average I seem to be able to beat this every 3 min). But beating it twice is another story.
I also overall felt more stress going for this than GS. It never got to the point of disrupting the hands. But, I had to fight a new foe : my own mental distractions. It’s something that only became clearer to me ever since my Dimension 333333 grind : your own expectations of what will happen next is very destructive.
I would frequently, without much control, think stuff like “oh will it go in history that I will have bad positioning for the top part, oh will I experience a death I’ve never had before, oh will I ruin it on the same room like the couple previous times”. Which makes me lose focus on my play and I usually misread something and fail. I haven’t found a solution for it yet, but I’m only beginning.
Obviously though, many times it was just hard execution deaths you can’t cheat out of. I died a LOT during the first quarter. Again I think I got seriously screwed upon by the game, but at least it’s slightly more understandable why.
Anyways, a good achievement on my back. Only thing harder than this is gauntlet 2x, and I know someone else will certainly have more fun with that than my fingers.
Oh, I also beat the thing without sliding. I will never do it again so watch closely.
Without quickstopping, I found that the sideways v pattern section was somewhat tolerable. And the token flip, I expected to be worse given the likehood of success of a sliding flip being hard to predict. But I got it like two times out of three. Definitely not enough play data to be able to say anything about it.
But, surprisingly, the top shaft wasn’t as bad as I thought it would go.
It was the worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with sliding only.
I would often get there multiple times in a row, and yet get it only once in what felt like 20 tries, or an eternity. There is no consistency you can ever have with it, solely due to the natuve of sliding. It’s just endless mad clown movement. I shall proclaim it as the new lottery. Even sliding the GS final shaft, which depends on your exact movement to the frame with how you flipped off the platform, something that happened way back in the complete other side of the shaft that you need to juggle with, is easier than this. Just, picture this : youtu.be/i1AHCaokqhg?t=804
Stress wasn’t of an issue, after all, things were much more random. It was all down to outburst luck.
And luck I had. After not accomplishing much of anything for most of my grind, only one attempt to the last quarter, suddenly, a phoenix rose from the ashes and soared right into the goalpost. No token chokes.
This one also took three hours and actually was very similar to the Golden Spiral grind version. One hour of pointless attempts, roughly 30 min of top practice, then followed by 90 or so of nothing and suddenly a clear with an end fluke.
To me the three hour mark separates the easy grinds and challenges to the real ones. I thus interpret that this is yet another act from the V6 gods, as in, they only want what’s best for me.
I’ve already beaten every single sections in this level with only sliding, and this’ by far the worst. No wonder why Not Sure struggled so much on it compared to the other two clears who use quickstopping.
Now where was I with my final Nova deathless project ?

I honestly forgot about doing those. Better late than ever.
Anyways, easy stage, not very different without Popka. Only dangerous part we have to cross twice is at 7:42.
At 8:24 and 10:31, I attempted to skip the door opening animation.
In the first instance I pulled it off, but got a bad outcome that slowed me down in the end, as the displaced Klonoa opening animation shouldn’t have happened. I dont think it is random, rather I think I shouldnt have spammed jump there.
And at the end is the successful outcome.
It’s the fastest Popka/less strat for entering this door, though a bit tight and the time-save is negligible when used in the former category.
[18 may 2022 : this trick isnt possible on the alternate version of this stage because there arent any Goomis around.]
Mira-Mira will absolutely make up for the lack of difficulty in this stage...

My run for the PlayStation Racing race ! (https:// therun.gg/races/ricky-weekly-18)
Landed second, beaten by amoser by a dozen seconds. Good fun !
Kind of the same thing as the previous PB but apparently I was faster by 13 seconds.
I got first try ultimate 6-2, thats about the only good thing.
Well, I thought my movement for Naha III was sick looking, even thought I got awful RNG.
Rip Gelg Bolm, I had a pretty nice perfect fight streak until now. Also the fight on its own costed me 40 seconds, I didnt even anticipate it to be this bad.
Awful 6-1, better but not fast Ghadius still in three runs
If Gelb Bolm was perfect, this would be 37 Klonoa : Door to Phantomile any% in 38:31 [Obsolete]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/qKeWU9_yEL4/mqdefault.jpg)
