The Supermarine Spitfire Mark V and earlier models had exhaust stacks that were quite unusual. NACA tested them against some special stacks they made, and I think the results and comments they made are worth posting, so here they are!
I also included some footage of Ramstein Air Force Base by hiking up to the Burg Nanstein castle. I figured this was such a short video anyway, it would be a good time to get that in.

Note, in this video I incorrectly stated that the earlier versions had the individual stacks, they don't. They had the stacks much like the Mark V. Also, the report doesn't specifically say it's a Mark, but it does say it's using the Merlin 45 engine which is what was used in the Mark V.
