Too much power and the rods couldn't take it. The EcoBoost 2.3 is an otherwise decent engine, but they sure went cheap on the connecting rods.

We had a lot of power on this engine, but it wasn't crazy power, an intake, a big intercooler a ported turbo, exhaust and a very aggressive tune we were testing for track action. The rods just couldn't take the power.

Please check out my site, Eurocompulsion.net . Use the drop down menus to get to the Mustang stuff. Also we have a good sale starting tomorrow for the Thanksgiving weekend.
