So I finally played a track from one of my favorite series of all time, Super Smash Bros! I got introduced to the series from the beginning with Super Smash Bros on N64 and I became a fan ever since. I remember when a new one was announced, how excited I'd get and especially with Brawl after playing Melee for hours upon hours with friends. I remember being so hyped for Brawl to come out that I was watching the trailer multiple times a day and I'd visit the Smash Bros website every day to check for updates. When it did come out finally, me and a couple of friends got together and played it using a beamer on a screen on the wall and it was soo cool! Anyway, this song is super epic and I actually recently found out that is was composed by Nobuo Uematsu! He's known for his work on the Final Fantasy games obviously but I had no idea he was even involved with Brawl since Cloud wouldn't become a character until Smash 4 so that caught me by surprise. The song also strongly reminds me of Four Brave Champions from Castle Crashers because of the same rhythm patterns that it uses so yeah, pretty cool! For my arrangement I wanted to come in guns a blazin' for this one immediately since I noticed that a lot of my recent covers start off clean and then it gets heavy. I wanted to do something a bit different this time and I even managed to get the 'Online Practice Stage' song in there too as a nice segway to bring back to heaviness. Kinda funny because playing Brawl online was literally unplayable because of the insufferable lag so I spend like no time on that mode haha. Luckily that got better with the next game.
