This is for all you OG Mario Kart fans out there! I didn't grow up with this one myself because I didn't know about it. The first game for me was Mario Kart 64 and I had no idea this even existed for the longest time. It's like a giant history lesson for me to see this game in action and the music is super unique! It's especially interesting for me to hear certain parts of the music tracks being referenced later in the series like the Tournament Win music and I can hear parts of the Rainbow Road music in Mario Kart Double Dash back here so that's really cool to me! Gigantic shoutout to the Battle Mode music though like holy f, that is the best song in the game for me by far and it's so unique! No wonder people loved the Battle Mode back in those days if it had such a kickass track playing haha! I did have a lot of trouble transcribing the bass lines in some of these because of that farty synth bass samples that the composer used so hearing anything close to some sort of pitch in there was incredibly difficult! I tried my best but I wouldn't be surprised if some it isn't quite like the original because I had to come up with some of my own note choices every now and then so. I very much dreaded having to play that fast run in one of the most iconic songs of the game, Mario Circuit, but through practice, I was able to get it so I'm really happy with that especially! Anyway, this was a lot of work to put together as always but I hope you'll enjoy my Guitar Medley of Super Mario Kart!
