Here's a long awaited series of videos: Super Mario Bros. X on the PC. It may also be Super Mario Bros 10, if X is a roman number...anyway :)) It's a fan game and a very good one I might add: it's actually a compilation of several games on several consoles, like Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 and 3 on NES, Super Mario World on the SNES, Legend of Zelda and Metroid ! You can play as 5 different characters: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess Peach and Link - yes, Link from Legend of Zelda ! Mario, Luigi and Toad are identical outside their appearance - they just run, jump and can shoot fireballs if they collect the fire flower. Princess Peach can hover in the air after jumping by holding down the jump button and Link can use his sword to fight enemies, as well as to smash blocks. Like in Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World, there's a map screen where you travel from level to level and where you can change characters by hitting "Esc" and then pressing left or right to cycle between them. You can also go back to a level you already cleared if you want to collect more coins or get powerups again, since they respawn. There are 8 worlds, represented by 8 islands, each with a distinct theme (overworld, Yoshi's Island, Hell, etc). The last level of each island is a boss fight - either Birdo from SMB 2 or a Koopa-Kid from SMB3 - and the last level of the game you fight Bowser, obviously. The levels have no timer, much like SMB 2, so you don't have to rush, which is a good thing, as some levels require some puzzle-solving. The coin system works the same as always: every 100 coins awards you with an extra life. The powerups are also the same familiar ones: there's the mushroom, fire flower, leaf, tanooki suit and hammer suit, though the last two are only found in a few levels and even then they're hidden pretty well. One item that's missing is the invincibility star: I've only seen it like once or twice in the entire game, which is odd, because in the original SMB they are all over the place, usually hidden inside invisible blocks. It doesn't matter too much, because the other weapons are plenty, making it easy to survive. The difficulty is appropriate for a Mario game and it increases gradually as the game progresses, which is how it should be. There should be a balance between challenge and fun - this game is mostly fun. Sure, there were some annoying levels which seemed to last forever and kicked my ass, but this is actually what keeps the game from getting too easy and once I got past those, it gave me a huge sense of accomplishment and success. The same thing can be said about Bowser: at first he's a tough bastard and he seems impossible to beat, but with practice and patience you'll finally defeat him and feel on the top of the friggin' world. So that's about it. It's a very enjoyable title that will certainly appeal to everybody out there, even if they're not hardcore fans of the Mario Bros. or have never played a Mario game - you can pick this one up and play it right away. One last thing I need to mention is that I had lots of copyright issues with this walkthrough because of the soundtracks in certain levels - the videos got removed many times, so to prevent that from happening, certain portions of the video have the audio altered - I do apologize for that, but it was the best I could do to post the videos while maintaining the integrity of my channel. Don't blame me, blame the people who made the rules and those who run Youtube. Anyway, enjoy the walkthrough ! Danny Rulez !

![Mario Forever 2015 v2.7 - World D and World 10 Advanced [HD]

Lets have a look at the other levels bundled with this new version of MF 2015. The first two I played were World 10 Advanced and World D. As the name suggests, the first one is an edit of World 10 by Syzxchulun and since it got way too difficult way too fast, I eventually gave up on it, especially since Ive already played World 10 before and wasnt really in the mood to do it again. The original was already hard enough, so I cant imagine what this was gonna be like after I couldnt even get past the first level. The second custom world, World D, is a prototype of sorts...its playable, but by no means amazing or original. The second level is the same as the fist one, just with the falling ceiling of doom in place and the boss battle is impossible to finish due to Bowser taking so many hits that its impossible to beat him within the time limit - either that, or theres a glitch that makes him invincible. His energy bar doesnt appear either, so its impossible to tell whether youre actually hurting him or not. Once again, mediocre is the word of the day here, just like with the main game, so theres really not much to say...Danny out. FACEBOOK : https://www.facebook.com/DanielsGameVault
This is World Z by GmodGaming. What can I say ? Basic fan world with some serious issues, both in terms of graphics and gameplay. It wouldnt be so bad if some didnt cost lives, but they do, like a bug in level 3 that causes you to get stuck outside the screen and die if you go off the left side (which shouldnt be possible in the first place !). Then theres a checkpoint inside the castle thats right over a hole, so you have to move right immediately after respawning or else you drop straight in the said hole. Bowser is also very difficult, borderline impossible, due to the multitude of hammers he throws and the inability to jump on his head when hes in mid air. Despite trying really hard, I couldnt finish it for this reason. I couldve tried over and over, since amazingly there IS a continue feature that puts you back at the castle level, but I was sure I wouldnt do any better, so I gave up. Keep in mind that the final verdict I give a game is not strictly dependent on whether I beat it or not: theres games that are nearly impossible to beat, but are still enjoyable to play, while others are unsatisfactory despite finishing them with relative ease. This one unfortunately lies somewhere in between those 2 categories, meaning its both hard AND unappealing at the same time. Aside from the aforementioned functionality problems, the graphics department is pretty unimpressive too, starting with the title screen itself and ending with what I like to call graphics freak-outs in level 3 (that even caused me to die once for some reason). If I were to be a real b!tch, Id also point out how the first 2 levels reuse the themes from World 11 and The Minus Worlds respectively, which denotes a lack of originality. Im just being objective here ! Feel free to prove me otherwise, but this is a pretty low quality game ! I sure hope some improvements will be made soon, because for now, thats how it stands Im afraid ! You be the judge. Danny out. Heres another minus world by my good old friend Crist1919. Like all the others, its nicely done: great soundtracks, great visuals, great level design, but theres one thing that kills the whole experience: the lag ! I dont know if happens only on my PC, but the entire game lags on EVERY-SINGLE-LEVEL ! Aside from bringing the fun factor level down pretty significantly, it can also cost lives in certain situations: in level 2 for example, which is an underwater maze, the timer seems to count down at normal speed while the game itself runs at about half that, so its going to run out at least once, since its physically impossible to move that fast - pretty unacceptable, wouldnt you say ? Like in other MF games, the lag also allows you to jump much higher than normal, which can be useful or detrimental depending on the level. In the castle for example, theres a spiked ceiling, so jumping high is the complete opposite of what you need. Jumping off screen too much can also trigger a stability bug, where upon coming back down, Mario falls straight through the ground and dies, so thats another thing that can take away a life and which actually happened to me about 3 times in the video ! Not a bad world in itself, but the performance needs tweaking in order to get the full, fast paced experience the creator had in mind. Danny out ! Welcome to Dannys Fail Vault ! Heres the first secret in The Minus Worlds : The Beyond World...or The World from Beyond...Im still not too sure what the official name is :)) Anyway, this world is an ungodly amount of hard ! While the main game was enjoyable and offered a fair challenge for everybody, this one will just mop the floor with your ass, mainly because of how long and difficult the levels are. Adding to that problem is the fact that theres only ONE checkpoint per level, which is not near enough, and even if there were more, the continue feature doesnt start you off at the checkpoint when you run out of lives (which youll do often), so you still have to do the whole level from the beginning. If youre gonna make the levels long and difficult, at least have plenty of checkpoints to compensate (or at least make the continue option put you back at the last one). Still, despite the brutal nature of this world, with lots of practice, patience and nerves of steel, youll eventually complete it, which is what I managed to do, although I cant deny that I felt more relief than accomplishment when beating it, since I couldnt wait to get it over with after what I had to sit through :O There were also some parts that just pissed the shit out of me, like dying right before the end or the checkpoint, falling through blocks, missing jumps because the keyboard didnt respond, or getting hurt by hazards I couldnt see coming. Either way, just the fact that I was able to complete it with no side effects or glitches, is enough to earn it the DGV seal of approval. Not a bad world as far as functionality and structure is concerned, but OMFG is it hard ! Id compare it to Hardcore World 2 or World 9 by Syzxchulun - definitely not for beginners ! I highly recommend playing the main game first to get your feet wet before diving into this one, because if you do it the other way around without any practice, youll have a pretty unenjoyable experience - youll need a lot of practice and also time going into this, so start off with something easier if youre new to Mario Forever fan games ! I wanted to do another longplay (1 hour +) since we havent had one of those on DGV lately, so I left most of my fails intact, although by the end of the vid I started removing some of them, otherwise it wouldve been painfully boring. Grab some popcorn and prepare to see some butt-kicking with Danny ! I suggest you set the play speed to 1.5 or 2 if you feel like its too slow ! Danny out. I felt like playing some SMBX on DGV again, since you guys seem to like it almost as much as Mario Forever. I wasnt sure what title I should play exactly, since there are a lot (and I mean a LOT) of different worlds (or episodes) created by the fanbase out there ! If youre curious, theres actually a forum where people share SMBX episodes, which is where I got this one. Pretty cool ! I knew I wanted something pretty simple and easy to play, since I havent played SMBX in a long time and wasnt quite ready for anything too involved. After a bit of back and forth, I settled on The Princess Cliché. Its nothing special really, as the title itself suggests. Its also not a very long world, so it was the perfect appetizer that put me in the mood for some more SMBX action. If you guys have suggestions of episodes youd like me to play, let me know in the comments and Ill try to show them here on DGV ! Danny Rulez ! Super Mario Bros. I thought you guys might like this one so I will share it with you: user NortShip01 made a mix of the soundtracks from the original Jazz Jackrabbit on the DOS and he asked for my opinion, since he knows Im a fan of the series myself. I thought its pretty amazing, so I asked him if hed like me to feature it on my channel and he agreed, so here it is. I believe he included most, if not ALL of the tracks from the game, perfectly mixed into one another and not just added sequentially. I can only praise the effort and quality - keep it up ! If you have a track or a mix that youd like me to feature, you can contact me and we can set up a video ! The track list is below, though I havent added any timecodes yet - feel free to do that in the comments.

Heres a new Mario Forever game, called Mario Forever 2014, created by 2233 - the same guy who made Human Lab 2. When I first heard the title, I thought it would be nothing more than a compilation of all the other fan games that have been made so far (being that were approaching the end of the year), but its a totally new game with new worlds. What can I say ? Its a very nicely done game and I really enjoyed it: the challenge is there without being overly annoying, the controls are smooth, the soundtracks are awesome and overall they pretty much nailed every key aspect of a good game, but there are some minor things that require a bit of work still. The most important of these has to be the key mapping, because it currently doesnt work: no matter which keys you define in the options menu, the game always uses the default ones, CTRL for running and SHIFT for jumping. It doesnt help that theyre above each other, because I have to use my pinky to hold down CTRL while using my ring finger to press SHIFT, which is totally uncomfortable and painful after playing for a long time. They should at least be X and Z by default like in other games (which is also what I always set them to) regardless of what game I play. Another thing I need to mention, though this is more of a mystery than it is a problem, is that the game came to a sudden end after beating World 3: I took down Bowser, the victory theme played and then I popped back at the save-screen, which left me wondering what the hell just happened. Is this the whole game and I completed it, or is it a glitch ? If its the former, then it could be longer and have an end-screen with a generic congratulations message. If its the latter, then it should be fixed, needless to say. Some 1-UPs could be added along the way as well, especially from World 2 onward, because it gets quite challenging and having to go back to the beginning of the world every time you use up all your lives brings the fun factor level down pretty considerably. Other than that, theres really not much to say. Very good game overall ! Good job ! Approved by DGV. Mario Forever 2014 PC Walkthrough [HD]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/H_lsubLpN24/mqdefault.jpg)
