This goes out to Trip, our ray of sunshine, who brings the noise and the funk wherever he goes. He was such a wonderful character that should have had more time in the show, but his death embodied his protective and heroic nature.
I remember the first time Trip showed up and I didn’t think anything of it. That’s often how it is with loveable characters – the first time you see them, you don’t think much about them. I figured Trip would be there for two episodes and then be gone. I’m very glad I was wrong.
When he seemed to be crushing on Simmons, a part of me was worried that it would turn into something, but I was also LOVING Fitz’s jealousy. If it wasn’t for Trip, Fitz might never have come out with his feelings for her. And then Trip turned out to be so great, always helping in any way he could. His presence in season 2 was especially needed. He was always smiling even when everything seemed to be taking dark turns, which is why he became “our sunshine” (lol).

I was so surprised to see the relationship that had developed between Trip and Skye. I’m a SkyeWard shipper but their friendship was so beautiful. Honestly, if they had actually developed feelings for each other, I wouldn’t have had any problem with it. (I’d be sad for SkyeWard but TripSkye is so lovely.) It wasn’t even hinted that Trip might have feelings for Skye but I’m pretty sure everyone believes he did. After all, he wasn’t crushing on Simmons anymore and he always seemed to be around Skye. I really believe Trip had feelings for Skye now, mainly because of that great quote from B.J. Britt: “[Triplett] went out with a purpose, and if he had to do it all over again, I’m sure he would do it the exact same way. He’d probably kiss Skye first and then do it, but then he’d go out." (Aw B.J. you shipper you)
This video is obviously about Trip, but it’s also about his relationship with the team, namely Skye. And I had to include Simmons since she was his first friend on the team. Both Skye and Simmons have been affected the most by his death. Aftershocks was such a difficult episode to watch and I cried about ten times. They did such a good job showing how his death affected everyone. Chloe Bennet’s acting was heart wrenching.
As for the movement #TripLives, I’m not an active participant, mainly because I believe in the writer’s right to take the story where they want to take it (even if that results in the death of a beloved character) but I would definitely be happy if Trip magically returned from the dead. ; ) So I will quietly cheer you guys on from the side.

EDITING COMMENTS:
I knew I had to make a Trip video and this song instantly came to mind. I mean, it’s called Sun. And I’ve been editing so much Sleeping At Last lately. I never edit a band this much. It must be because their songs are easy to use (and beautiful).
I went with a bright, “sunny” coloring that I hope Youtube doesn’t destroy. I don’t think I did too bad making it sunny. I’m pretty proud of the coloring in this one!
And yep I included the cast's goodbye video to B.J. It was just too awesome and emotional. It had to be included.

Because I've worked/ am working on four videos with songs from Sleeping At Last: Atlas, I've decided to call them all part of my "Atlast" project. However, they aren't related in any way xD I just had to edit to Sleeping At Last. The remaining two are both Agents of Shield.

PS: I'm gonna be editing with Skye's transformation. A LOT.
