Scrappy Kathy | Summer || Simple Stories Saturday || Freeze 2.0 Recipe Challenge @scrappykathy | Uploaded January 2024 | Updated October 2024, 18 minutes ago.
Who out there is ready for winter to be OVER??? Even here in Georgia where we don't typically get what everyone else calls "winter" it has been alternating between freezy cold (20 degrees below freezing) and rain (or mist) when it gets 20 degrees above freezing the next day.
So I did a summer page....sweet, innocent kids in various pools in various years but all triggering the sweetest of memories of days gone by. I thought these pics played up the happiness inherent in the colors of Simple Stories "Sunkissed" and the Bramble Fox title couldn't have been more perfect. I used 3 patterned papers including a tone-on-tone floral, 2 photos (plus one extra), flat embellishments (fussycuts from the scraps of paper I have left) and dimensional embellishments (the acrylic pieces from Bramble Fox) AND the geometric shape I chose to focus on is the circle so I stenciled and punched and fussycut circles all over the place. -- all in keeping with the recipe challenge at Spending Freeze 2.0. And everything is from scraps so I'm aligned with the Baby Got Scraps hop too!
Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time!
