The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge begins Tuesday, May 26 for all ages! Log your minutes read and book titles read. Return your reading log by Friday, July 31 to claim your prize.

Important Dates
May 26: First day of Summer Reading
June 1: First day of Summer programs
June 15: First day to turn in your reading logs and collect prizes
July 31: Last day to turn in your reading log and collect prizes (while supplies last)

How to Participate
Starting May 26, pick up a reading log from the Children's Library or the Reference desk, or download and print from home.
Children's Summer Reading: ages 0-Grade 6.
Teen Summer Reading: Grades 7-12.
Adult Summer Reading: ages 18 and up.
Keep track of your reading on your reading log.
When you are finished, bring your log to the Allen Public Library for your prize (while supplies last). Only one log per participant.
