A successful scout to find a new winter campsite on a lake with slush overflow shore to shore. I travel along the shoreline, show you a "spider hole" location of overflow, which causes slush problems in large area of the lake ice. The lake will have hundreds of spider holes with the current snow load. A new camp location is found, and I prep the site for a return hot tent camp, coming soon in a new video. I collect black spruce boughs for floatation on the deep snow tent floor: note this is legal and OK conservation-wise where I travel in the bush of northern Ontario - check your local rules and please abide by the rules, this is not legal everywhere, and should not be done in or near designated camping areas or trail systems. I am deep in the Canadian boreal forest, well away from where people ever go.
