There are many approaches when it comes to planning and designing a succefful diorama. However, there are key fundamentals to good design when planning a diorama that come from the masters long before I took up the hobby like the late: Sheperd Pain, François Verlinden, Lewis Pruneau, Bob Lettermen and Ray Anderson. Call them dinosaurs if you want, but I happen to love dinosaurs.

They were the most brilliant and inspiring diorama artists I have ever had the priveledge to be inspired by. I hope I can do a service by doing the same to them by passing on their legacy of inspiration to the current generation of this wonderful art form.
As I developed my own style I would often reflect upon their principles and read their books until they fell apart. Furthermore, their inspiring works propelled me onto a successful career as a diorama artist and model railroader. If it wasn't for those former masters, I doubt I would have had the confidence and success to achieve what I have over the last several decades. This is why I feel compelled to do the same for those in my generation as well.

For those who don't know me. My real name is Warren Jones. The reason why my peers don't know me is because I worked for private collection's, in film, and for museum while I was teaching theater craft at a local university. Even though I won many Best of Shows over the years, at mostly local shows in the Pacific Northwest, I kept a low profile because I covet my private and professional life, and save the rest for immediate family. I feel priveledge that I can share the latter part of my journey with those who care. Thank you for that.
