When people think of Egypt, they usually think of The Pyramids, The Sphinx, King Tut, and sand. Well, they should also think of snorkeling, because the snorkeling in the Red Sea in Egypt was amazing! I snorkeled for four days in a row; two days at the Movenpick Naama Bay House Reef in Sharm El-Sheikh, one day at Tirin Island, and one day at Ras Muhammad National Park. The water was crystal clear, the colors of the fish and coral were vibrant, and I saw all the sea life on my checklist, including a Giant Moray Eel, blue spotted stingrays, the venomous Lionfish (which I didn't see until I got home and watched this video), and Picasso Triggerfish. I also saw different types of butterflyfish and parrotfish, and what may have been the tail of a reef shark (glad I didn't know this at the time). I was able to identify many of fish myself, but I needed help from two great California aquariums to identify the rest: Birch Aquarium in La Jolla ( https://aquarium.ucsd.edu/) and Monterrey Bay Aquarium (montereybayaquarium.org/) in Monterrey, so thank you to both of those aquariums.
