Strap Bend - Joining - Two Loop Ends of Rope Together - How to Tie the Strap Bend

There may be situations where you are confronted with two loop ends of rope and you need to join the two looped ends. A very simple way of doing this is the use the Strap Bend. It is extremely easy to tie and also untie. I would say that one issue with the strap bend is that when there is no loading on the strap bend, it could too easily be shook loose.

For those of you who know your knots, you will recognise the knot formed is the Sheet Bend or Becket Hitch.
