With the release of FLOW-3D HYDRO 2025R1, you can now simulate particle-particle and particle-wall interactions using a discrete element method (DEM) particle model. In this simulation of a stormwater structure, floatable particles are represented by the DEM model to assess the effectiveness of a floatables trap placed over the outlet of the structure. The particle collisions with other particles and the walls are represented using the DEM physics. Learn more at flow3d.com/hydro
