Steven needs to help a terrible mayor lose an election to figure out why Connie would be upset that Steven didn’t believe in the both of them. By itself, this wouldn’t be too bad, but “Dewey Wins” ends up shafting the emotional pain of the Barrigas (Lars’ parents) entirely as if it’s something that’s not important or worth addressing, and I personally found that repugnant. This was not a good episode of Steven Universe.
