We are all used to stereo sound these days, but what actually is it. This short video explains the basics of what stereo is and how it can be used to create a more immersive sound.
Stereo uses two channels to create an arena of sound that has direction to it. As we have two ears and are able to detect where sounds come from, having just a single loudspeaker and a single source of sound can be a bit dull - all the music comes from a single spot.
Using two loudspeakers it is possible to recreate the sense of direction of the sounds and give a far more natural and enjoyable listening experience.
