My book review of Steel Helmet - a cult world war two novel by Charles Packman, published by Digit Books in 1959. This is pulp war fiction following Cridell who lands in normandy on D-Day and is taken as a prisoner of war by the Nazi's only to escape and take part in a number of raids with the Maquis - the French resistance.
In the 1950s and 60s, Digit Books were highly prolific book publishers across many genres including war, sci-fi and romance!
