Hey guys, I played a few demos from Steam's recent "Next Fest" event that promoted indie titles. I decided to record and upload my first experiences with the demos, with no preparation or practice beforehand. So you will see me fail and die, that's just a part of experiencing the game.
Wow was this a great demo! Really nailed the retro aesthetic, has its own distinct stylings and feels very fun to control. Anyone who grew up in the NES or SNES era will feel right at home with this game. Nothing groundbreaking, but I had a good time experiencing these first 2 levels without any prep. After this video, I played the tutorial and learned how to do the dive kick - I opted not to start with the tutorial since older games didn't have them. If the game's good, you'll figure out how to play it. And FYI if you're not a fan of this CRT filter, it's off by default.

These incredibly creative folks have used Stable Diffusion to generate spectrograms from text. The results, like with artwork, are unpredictable and will surprise you. I decided to record some random prompts that popped into my head, and some of it actually sounds pretty good in my opinion. Lots of lo-fi type beats.
