The Steam Machine Is WAY Too Expensive
Valve has officially revealed the pricing for the new Steam Machine, and while the hardware is certainly impressive, the price is going to be a tough sell.
At over $1,000 for the base model and around $1,500 for the higher-end version, it’s difficult to justify when you can buy a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or even a Nintendo Switch 2 for significantly less. Yes, enterprise-grade components, RAM, and storage are expensive—but for most gamers, the value proposition just isn’t there.
Would you buy one at this price, or would you stick with a traditional console or gaming PC?
