Extermination is one of the PlayStation 2’s most overlooked survival horror games. Released during the early days of the PS2, it combined tense atmosphere, challenging combat, and a unique infection mechanic that helped set it apart from other horror games of its era. While it never reached the popularity of Resident Evil or Silent Hill, it’s still a fascinating game that’s well worth revisiting today.
