Testing 30 Steam Deck 3D prints in 30 days. Day 21: 30% miniature Steam Deck keychain - Week 3 finale!

✅ 42g multi-color PLA
✅ 9.5cm x 3.5cm (length of little finger)
✅ Based on original Steam Deck CAD file
✅ 0.4mm nozzle (0.2mm for finer details)
WEEK 3 COMPLETE: Days 15-21 tested. Smallest and largest prints. Week 4: Advanced builds start Monday.
PRINT DETAILS:
Five pieces: front, back, 2 analog sticks, joining rectangle
Multi-color paint scheme by creator brings out details
30% accurate scaling from official CAD
Assembly: Few minutes, careful with tiny sticks (kept dropping them)
Everything fit well, glued together for permanence
THE DETAIL:
Really accurate miniature. Sticks look realistic. Detail better than expected for size. 0.4mm nozzle worked great (0.2mm would show finer text details). Feels substantial once glued.
PRACTICAL USE:
Would work as keychain (couldn't wire it properly to attach)
Cool on keys or shelf next to other miniatures (PlayStation minis, mini consoles)
Cool novelty
WEEK 3 REFLECTION:
Printed smallest and largest prints this week. Great way to finish before Week 4's advanced builds. This is "because we can" territory—you probably already know if you want to print this.
THE REALITY:
Impractical but cool. Never see these in retail production. Not all prints need utility. If you like this sort of thing, can be worth it.
Verdict: Only If You Need It 🟡
