Testing 30 Steam Deck 3D prints in 30 days. Day 13: Half-size Steam Deck screen cover for my Bambu Lab P1S.

My printer makes Steam Deck accessories all day—now it looks the part. This half-size Deck cover sits on the P1S touchscreen as pure decoration.
FITMENT: I used PETG instead of recommended PLA and the fit was too loose. Fixed with two layers of masking tape on top and bottom of screen—now rests securely by friction. Easy on, easy off.
SUPPORTS: Small amount around the joysticks, needed pliers to clean underneath. Nothing major.
PRACTICAL: Full touchscreen access while cover is on. Mimics the Deck screen where the Steam Deck screen would be. No interference—can still use screen, press buttons, open door. Since it's outside the printer enclosure, heat isn't a concern.
VISUAL: All Steam Deck features recognizable at half-scale. PETG finish looks good. From across the room, looks like a little Deck attached to printer. Better than expected.
Does it improve the printer? No. Protect the screen? No. Add personality? Absolutely. Not much time or filament for a fun aesthetic upgrade.
Verdict: Only If You Need It 🟡
