Testing 30 Steam Deck 3D prints in 30 days. Day 16: Gridfinity Steam Deck Holder (Low Profile) - my first Gridfinity experience!

CREATOR COLLABORATION: RayburnDesigns messaged me asking to test their design. This is what finally got me to try Gridfinity.

THE SYSTEM: Modular organization - print baseplates for your drawers, then snap in holders for whatever you need. I printed Alex drawer baseplates separately (designed to fit the bottom exactly). The holder itself works with any Gridfinity system—it's the low-profile design that makes it perfect for shallow drawers like the top two on IKEA Alex units.

THE HOLDER: Sits on 6 squares each side with space underneath for cables/SD cards. No locking mechanism - just sits snugly with no movement. Deck slides in, holds steady. Low-profile version fits 5.5cm deep drawers.

THE TEST: Does drawer close with Deck inside? Yes, no problem. Enough clearance even with JSAUX modcase and faceplate. Without case = perfect fitment. With case = still stable.

THE REALIZATION: This isn't just Deck storage. Can print inserts for other handhelds, organize deeper drawers, make use of space underneath holders. This was the push I needed to start building out Alex drawer organization.

RayburnDesigns also created normal-profile version. This low-profile specifically for shallow drawers.
