Final upload of the year! Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Wow, 2023 just absolutely flew by for me. I had a lot going on this year with work, looking for a new job and health issues, but things were a lot better by the end of the year, I moved, joined a D&D campaign and am due to start a new job in January! Overall, though, I just really struggled with editing. I pretty much took a complete break from editing FX for a good chunk of the year until Halloween, and I'm glad I found my mojo again by Christmas for Secret Santa, and I think I pulled out some of my best editing for it.

The colouring for this was a nightmare. The idea was dark reds/purples/blues like the music video for the song, so I ran with purple, but the space heaven scenes were so bright whilst the tree scenes were super dark that it was a real pain.

You can really tell which part I made the week when I had no inspiration. Im surprised that Ive never edited Mando and Baby Yoda before because I am weak for found family/adoptive parents. If Zoya is not queen of Ravka in 2021, I will be extremely disappointed. Also, I made this part before Chapter 8 of A3! came out so I didnt know anything about Guy other than that he was from the same country as Citron, but now having read it, god does this song fit so well for his arc!

A multifandom edit to Bones by Galantis (ft. OneRepublic) to say thank you for 5k subs! Im already doing an MEP, but I wanted to do something myself too, and I never finish my big multifandom plans without some external motivation. The idea was to do my favourite (or only, in the case of some media) ship from all the different types of media that I edit with: comics, live action, anime, cartoon, manga, game cutscenes and fan art, and Im really happy with how this turned out! This was actually so easy to make (except the manga part, that was hell, but I knew that the moment I made the stupid decision to do it in the instrumental bit), which was nice given I dont work with some of this stuff a lot, and it was just so fun! I also did my best to try and keep the style consistent when changing between them, and for the most part I think I succeeded.

My YES secret santa for xxmarevlgirlxx: Merry Christmas! I hope you like it! I was very excited to be your secret Santa, and I apologise that your gift is so short. With me being me, I was originally making a different edit using the cartoons that was a minute long, but I didnt really like how it was turning out, so I ended up switching to this, which I think is a lot better!
Anyway, I think weve known each other for about two years now, and Ive loved it since I first saw it, and the rate at which you improve blows my mind. Like I know that I say that to you a lot, but its really true, and your editing now looks stunning, and I know its only going to keep getting better!

Heh, this was so much fun! Damian Wayne is a purveyor of sass so naturally he had to be in this collab. I also had fun playing with typography, which does not happen often.

AVERT YOUR EYES for the first few seconds of this part! Seriously, the still image part is so ugly. Id just run out of animation clips I could use so that happened, but it looks horrible. I had a lot of fun playing the animation transitions, though, and I think that part came out good, even though I couldnt figure out how to do put a wave effect on the clips and not have it look bad...")
